Calling All Marylanders

The Radical Roots Project is cruisin' north to display its photography/media exhibition at the Frostburg State University Appalachian Festival on Saturday September 18th. Looks like it's gonna be a foot-stompin good time. Stop by if you're in the area. And for anyone else interested in booking the photography exhibition, give us a shout.

Here's a blurb from their website: "Located in the Allegheny Highlands of Mountain Maryland, the FSU Appalachian Festival celebrates the best of the region’s traditional arts, culture, music, history, and natural environment. The Festival’s roster offers a full array of traditional music, singing and dance workshops, lessons in traditional arts, crafts demonstrations and sales, hands-on children's activities and multiple presentations on the region’s history, culture, and environment. The final concert will be preformed by David Holt and Laura Boosinger. All daytime Saturday festival events are FREE to the public."

For those not familiar with David Holt, he's a heck of a guy (he even plays the paper bag). Here's an interview he recorded with Tommy Jarrell in Bills Barber Shop in Toast, NC.
